A busy term finishes and a new one just beginning…
This term saw our Upton Young Voices Choir make the trek to the O2 Arena in Greenwich and take part in the 2023 Young Voices Concert, with around 9000 other children! It was a night to remember. Next year we plan to move the club to after school and have more children take part in this fantastic opportunity.
All the other clubs have been busy learning new music in preparation for the return of our annual Spring Concert. Hopefully, if your child is taking part, you have already received a letter with the basic detail. If not, here it is…
Upton Spring Concert – Tuesday, March 21st – 6.30pm until 8pm (approx).
Tickets will go on sale at least two weeks beforehand. More details will be released closer to the time. Following feedback from last year, one change this year will be that we will be limiting tickets to 2 per child’s family. This will hopefully enable more parents to see their children perform.
Upton Choir – Thanet Festival of Music, Dance and Drama – Saturday 4th March!
Forty members of our choir will be taking part in the TFMDD this year, in a bid to retain the cup they won last year! This year, hopefully, parents will be allowed in to view the competition without the covid restrictions from last year!
One last thing…
All music clubs will start in the first week of term, due to the shortness of the term and the need to be ready for the Spring Concert.
