Transition Day 2017!

 

Thursday 6th July - A very exciting day ahead tomorrow for everyone involved, the most exciting in all of the school calendar - our annual transition day - where we welcome our new children due in September to Upton to spend the day with their class teachers.  Our current Year 3, 4 & 5 children spend a day with their new class teachers and our Year 6 depart Upton shores to spend a day at their new Secondary Schools.

Arrangements for the day:

Year 6 to go to their new schools tomorrow in the current Upton school uniform (unless stated otherwise by the respective secondary schools).  You should have received further instructions from your child's secondary school.

Years 3, 4 & 5 will go to their new classrooms to spend the day with their new teacher. (A copy of the transition newsletter has been attached at the bottom of this page with more information.)

Transitional Arrangements for New Pupils at Upton - 9:15 am - 2:45 pm:

• Please arrive with your child and walk across to the back playground.  Year 3 staff will be on the playground to meet you just after 9:00am.  In order for you to avoid the usual start of the day ‘drop-off’ I would advise you to time your arrival between 9:05am and 9:15am. 
• At 9:15am the Year 3 teachers will line up their ‘new’ classes on the playground.
• A number of activities have been arranged throughout the day including a whole school assembly including swimming
• At lunchtime the children will be provided with a free school meal.

• End of day arrangements: If you could please walk to the back playground at 2.45pm where your child will be led out of school with their class teacher.
