Step away from the computer screen and have a go at baking some Anglo-Saxon inspired oat cakes. Below I have attached a simple recipe to make your own oat cakes; the ingredients are easy and cheap and you may even have many of them in your cupboards at home.

As this recipe needs an oven, you will need adult support and supervision for this task.

We would love to see how you get on. Please take photos and share with your teacher. You may want to:

• create a photo collage
• create a step by step guide to making them, adding photos of the different steps
•  re-write your own recipe for the oat cakes, using your photos to illustrate
