Whilst we await an update from the government today in response to Coronavirus, Upton is taking measures in advance of this to limit risk.  Please can I reassure you that these measures are precautionary at this time.  We have no cases of the virus within the Upton community.  We continue to enforce and supervise high levels of hygiene and access advice from the Department for Education and Public Health England multiple times throughout the day.

• Sports Relief (13^th March): Children can still wear sportswear in exchange for a £1 donation, however, we are no longer inviting parents and carers in for the event.

• Year 3 Kent Life Trip (16^th March): is not going ahead.  Refunds to those who have paid will be processed shortly.

• Spring Concert (17^th March): The concert will be postponed, a new date to be confirmed.

• Year 5 (17^th March): RNLI and Harbour Trip will not be going ahead. Refunds will be processed shortly.

• Parent Lunch: The remaining parent lunch events for Years 5 and 6 will be rescheduled.  We will liaise with Principals Catering to refund payments.

• Parent Consultations (23^rd – 25^th March): We are postponing Parent Consultations, these will be rescheduled.  As ever if you would like to speak with your child’s class teacher email addresses are available on our website www.uptonjunior.com

• 4Y Assembly: Postponed – another date will be arranged.

• Year 6 WOW Day (1^st April): Cancelled – parents will have more opportunities later in the year to see children’s work.

• Upton University Book Look (1^st April): Cancelled – parents will have more opportunities later in the year to see children’s work.
