Taking inspiration from our new text - The Firework Maker's Daughter - and with the 5th of November having only just passed, we would like you to create your own firework!

Lila, from the age of 6, makes such fantastical inventions as Crackle-Dragons and Leaping Monkeys, Golden Sneezes and Java Lights - and of course Tumbling Demons. Some burn with a steady green glimmer whilst others spray out wicked little sparks, some somersault in the air before fizzing out whilst others explode with ferocity a mile in the sky. What will yours do?

When creating your firework, you will want to consider the following:

• Name
• Design of the outside capsule
• Type of explosion
• The colours
• The shapes
• The movement
• The smells
• The sounds

Be creative with this one and think outside the box! We can't wait to see what you produce!
