One Childhood - One Chance

6Y Fantastic Fossils!

6Y have been digging for dinosaur bones this afternoon!

Today, we learned that fossils are stone remains of dead animals and plants and how these are usually skeletons of animals, but can be footprints or even faeces! We discussed the process of fossilisation and the different types of fossils. Then, we became palaeontologists and dug for dinosaur bones using mallets, chisels and brushes. Such a great afternoon had by all!
