This week in Year 4!
Tuesdays
4R and 4Y are swimming this term
4B and 4G are PE this term and need to BRING IN their kits
Our PE day will continue to be on Thursdays this term - Children should come in their PE kits.
Friday 20th June will be a "Dress to Express" day for Diversity! Children can come to school in clothes that represent them (no donation)
This week:
What a fabulous week we have had!
In maths, we have been adding and subtracting money and finding change
In English, we have written recounts using prepositional phrases and rich and vivid language
In the afternoons, we have been learning all about Mount Vesuvius and written a diary entry to describe the events of the eruption in Pompeii. We have also painted our amazing volcanos!
Next week
Next week, in topic we will be exploring primary and secondary sources and learning how a seismograph works!
In English, we will be writing diary entries, concentrating on irregular verb tenses.
In Maths, we will be continuing our money journey and will be beginning to look at telling time
Homework this week-
Can you research a different active volcano? What have you found out about it? Present your research any way you wish - draw pictures and include exciting facts!
