Well, what a week! We have been having a great time getting to know each other and diving into our new book, Leon and the Place between. Some of the children were sceptical at first, they thought that they were perhaps too grown up for a picture book, but once we had read the first few pages, they were hooked! Leon and the Place Between is a beautiful picture book which tells the story of a group of children that have gone to a magic show. Leon is chosen to take part in a magic trick and once 'disappeared' he travels to the Place Between - the magical place where 'disappeared' people and objects go to before they are 'called back'. Once the children realised that there were objects and animals in the Place Between that had never been called back, they couldn't wait to find out whether Leon had become trapped there or not. Every time we look through the story, we find different things in the pictures and the children have written some wonderful descriptions of the magical tent in which the show takes place.
