This week Year 6 have been working exceptionally hard to write their Alma narrative whilst also revising key areas of the English and maths curriculum.

We had a brilliant morning on Friday, taking part in an arithmetic treasure hunt across the playground and field.

 

The teachers are incredibly proud of the Year 6s for all their hard work and positive attitude leading up to SATs. We are excited for each of them to have the opportunity to showcase just how brilliant they are, before heading off to Activity Week!

Homework

- There is no Thematic homework grid this term for Year 6 but if you would like to engage in some further English and maths practice, please follow this link for resources:

Upton Junior School - Revision Area

- Please read with your child at least 3 times a week.

- Children should be playing TTRS at least 3 times a week to build their confidence and fluency with times table knowledge.

- Most children have now taken their Term 5 AR Star Reader assessment and their ZPD can be found on their AR account. They will also receive a sticker next week to help them identify the correct books for their reading level. Once your child has read their book, they will need to complete a quiz on it before getting a new one. These quizzes can be done either in school or at home on Accelerated Reader using the log-in codes found in their reading records.

- Mathletics homework has also been set for the children to complete by next Friday.
