Year 3 have had a fantastic first week back!
As we do every term, this term began with PD Week. The children took part in Enterprise Day actvities, learning the value of money and saving and creating a business pitch for a fundraising idea.
In English, we have a guide to a healthy lifestyle leaflet, teaching people about how to maintain a healthy heart, mind and body.
In Maths, the different classes have been learning a range of skills including fractions, money multiplication and division.
In Maths, we continue will continue with multiplication and division, money and some children will be moving onto time.
In English, we will be starting our new book, Charlotte's Webb, and will be writing a diary entry based on the first chapter.
In our thematic curriculum, we will begin with our Stunning Start for our Healthy Humans topic. The children will learn about different ways to stay healthy. Then we will continue our topic, learning about the bones, muscles and joints in the human body.
This term Red and Yellow classes will be swimming on Fridays.
Homework will be set weekly on MyMaths and Spelling Shed.
It is also expected that the children are reading regularly, and completing their quizzes in school or at home.
Additionally, the children should be playing Times Tables RockStar regularly.
