Maths:
This week we have been learning about perimeter of rectilinear shapes. After half term we will begin to look at fractions.
English:
This week have been continuing our diary entries and finishing our book. After half term we will begin our new text ‘Revolt Against the Romans’ which lends itself brilliantly to our new afternoon curriculum.
Topic:
This week our Light it Up topic culminated with a fantastic DT day. The children made an incredible set of circuit board quiz games and a fantastic day was had by all. After half term the children will be starting their new Romans topic.
Home Learning:
This week we introduced the Speaker competition to the children. This is an oracy competition in which the children are invited to write a speech to present to their classes and hopefully, in turn, to the school and Trust. The theme this year is ‘You wouldn’t believe it but…’. If the children wish to partake, they need to plan a speech which will be no longer than 2 minutes, with no props or supporting presentations. Class heats will take place on the week beginning 20th February 2023. Good luck!
Reminder- If children wish to play on the field at break and lunchtime, they need to bring an old pair of shoes to leave in their locker please.
