One Childhood - One Chance

Weekly Update 17.11.23

Another excellent week in Year 4!

This week in maths, the children have been learning about division, using mental strategies to divide 3-digit numbers by 1-digit numbers. We have really been putting their times table knowledge to the test!

In English this week, the children have written beautiful setting descriptions of the Amazon Rainforest, taking us through all the fascinating layers.

In the afternoons this week, the children have continued their Maya topic. The children have learnt about the waterways of Central America, the ancient Maya's use of the Usumacinta River and the ancient city of Chichen Itza,

Please see the homework menu attached. The children need to choose ONE activity each week that they would like to have a go at. There are 15 activities to choose from to provide a wide range of options. When they have completed a piece of homework, they can send it in either in the book, through photos or bringing something to share.

An excellent week Year 4! Well done!
