If your child received a letter about helping on Open Day (30th November and 1st December), please could you return these with their available as soon as possible. We really appreciate this!

International Food Day will be 2nd December for Year 6! A letter will soon be sent out with more details.

Home Learning Task

This week the children have explored and made biomes! For their home learning task this week can the children explain which biome they think is the most significant to our world and our species? You can do this as a letter, speech, explanation text, poster, factfile or any way that would suit you! It needs to be informative but can also be presented in a creative way of your choice. We cannot wait to see them!

This is due Wednesday 23rd November.

Weekly Review:

What a fabulous week we have had!

In Maths, we have deepened our understanding of the four operations, and used our division and multiplication skills to compare, order and simplify fractions.

In English, we have written descriptive and detailed work on our central characters of Floodland: Zoe and Dooby, using the technique “show, not tell”. We have also written a persuasive letter to American figure Donald Trump about the true impact of Climate Change!

In Topic the children have developed their knowledge of the world: exploring biomes and even creating their very own 3D versions!
