- For the next few upcoming weeks the children will not be set MyMaths tasks, instead they have been given logins and set quizzes on the maths.co.uk website. The children have been informed about this and shown how to login. For more information please see the letter that was sent home with your child.
Home Learning Task:
The children have been given SATs practice papers along with a letter explaining them. Please refer to this.
Minimum 3x a week. Reading record must be signed by an adult. Can be completed on your own or with your parents.
Friday to Friday.
Tasks will be completed online, with new tasks set every week.
Tasks will always follow the spellings being taught in class that week.
Times Tables Rock Stars:
Minimum 3x a week.
Can be completed on tablets, laptops or mobile phones though the app or the website.

Another amazing week in Year 6.
The children have written some fantastic speeches based on our English text – Letters from the Lighthouse: “May You Never Know What it’s Like to be a Refugee”. The children wrote passionate and emotive speeches which were superb! In Maths children have been exploring angles and shape and in D+T the children have designed and made Anderson Shelters. We also had a visit from Rhodri and Maggie – linked to St Peter’s Baptist Church – who led a workshop on the Easter story.
Bs and Gs have swimming and PE on Mondays. Please can they wear PE Kit to school and bring their swimming kit with the.
On Wednesday 19th April RNLI coastguards will lead a talk to Year 6 about water safety.
PSHE will be our afternoon curriculum subject that week – please refer to the Personal development blog for more information.
