Upton girls’ football players have vowed to return in fighting form next season for the Kent schools finals.

The side impressed fellow players and supporters as they progressed through the local stages to represent Thanet in the county finals at Thamesmead.

The well-drilled side from Broadstairs maintained their fine form in their bid to retain the Kent girls’ title.

Upton started strongly during the group stage, scoring seven and conceding just two in their four games.....
