Upton Family Camp-Out
Last year, for the first time ever, we held an ‘Upton Family Camp-Out’ event overnight on our school field. The event proved to be incredibly popular, with over 220 tents pitched during an afternoon and evening of non-stop activities aimed at families and children.
This year the Upton Family Camp-Out takes place on Saturday 5th July (PM) to Sunday 6th July. The event is open to families and friends of Upton pupils and really is a case of everyone helping out where they can to make the day a success.
A letter with camping details and booking forms will be sent out early in Term 6 and places are sure to go very rapidly indeed. However, we currently want to hear from Upton parents who think they could be a part of the camping provision. These include:
· Any Upton parents who own a burger van/refreshment van/ice cream van – our campers are hungry and thirsty all through the day! You would need to be able to stay overnight (or be back early) for breakfast the next morning
· Any parent who thinks they can run an event (craft; face painting; or other) or offer an opportunity our campers might enjoy.
(All commercial providers will be required to split an agreed percentage of profits with the PTFA to raise money for the school.)
· General helpers on the day to assist with setting up the event
Have a think about this over the holiday and if you think you may be able to get involved in this way please return the form below via your child to the school office.
