Upton Ship After School Club
Wrap-around care at Upton is very much in demand, an absolute necessity for a working parent. At the end of the school day, alongside extra-curricular clubs, we also have our very popular after school provision, the Upton Ship After School Club.
The club has been set up to assist with working parents child care arrangements and we aim to be flexible where possible. If you work shifts we ask you to sign up for the minimum amount of days you would need provision – for example you know you work 3 days a week but the days change on a regular basis. We would ask you to sign up for 3 days and then let us know before the start of the week the actual days your child will attend. We are also happy to provide care on an 'as and when' basis if you do not need to use the club regularly.
Children attending after-school club enjoy a varied timetable of activities – ranging from the more energetic sports and games, to time on the laptops and i-pads; playing traditional board games, completing homework or relaxing with a book or watching a film. Children are provided with a light tea and benefit from spending time with other children within the school.
The club is open until 6:15 pm, term time only, and is run by three members of the Upton team; Mrs Moynan, Mrs Williams-Verrall & Mr Bulloch.
