As I started my lesson on biomes, I asked the children if anyone had any idea what the word meant. I expected blank faces but was given not only a clear definition but excellent examples so I must give Minecraft some credit for this weeks learning. We built on this knowledge about that regions that share similar characteristics, life forms and environmental conditions such as animal and plant life using internet research skills and finally got creative, making our 3D models which even include some authentically natural elements.
