Monkton Nature Reserve Trip
6Y had a fantastic day at Monkton today. We began the day with a walk around the reserve talking about habitats and how the chalk quarry would have appeared. The children then had the opportunity to sketch in the two museums comprising of skulls, fossils and rocks as well as stuffed animals and birds. After lunch we met Alex's birds of prey and finished the day pond dipping where we caught many water dwelling insects as well as many male and female newts. Thankfully no-one dipped in the pond themselves!!
Fantastic behaviour 6Y from all of you - sleep well after all the fresh air today!
