One Childhood - One Chance

6G WWII Day

Today 6G stepped back in time to enjoy Mr. O'Sullivan's WWII experience.

From weighing out rations to deciphering codes and even taking cover during an air raid, the children had a memorable start to their first Year 6 topic. The toy workshop was a particular highlight with many of the class remarking how entertaining the toys of the 1940s were. I predict yo-yos, flipbooks and pin art toys on Christmas lists this year!

Both Mr O'Sullivan and Miss Vary were impressed with the behaviour and attitude of the children and they impressed our guest with their knowledge of the era.

Perhaps 6G could spend some time this weekend finding out why there were no gas attacks in WWII?
