Mindfulness in Year 3

Year 3 become mindful in our Personal Development Day to kick start Term 3.
On several terms throughout the year Upton run a "Personal Development Day" at the very start. This day encompasses skills and practices that develop children for the future. One important element of this is Healthy Living - in all sense of the term. We explored healthy diets, healthy exercises and healthy minds. With the latter in mind, Miss Reed led each Year 3 class in a series of mindfulness exercises, including breathing and sitting strategies. This helped us to refocus and settle us for the term ahead. We shall continue to practice mindfulness throughout the school term.
