Secondary transition has dominated this week, with the children taking their first steps towards becoming Year 7 students!

The upcoming week will pass quickly as we enter the final two weeks of the term. On Tuesday 7th, we have the dress rehearsal. Please ensure your child brings their costume(s) to school in a clearly named bag.

On Friday, we have a busy and exciting day planned, with the Music Festival and Family Picnic taking place in the morning, followed by the Summer Fair in the afternoon.

A quick reminder about the letter sent via MCAS regarding ticket bookings for the upcoming production, as well as permission for your child to attend rehearsals and performances at Dreamland. Thank you to everyone who has already completed this.

Finally, as the children prepare for the performance, we would appreciate their continued practice at home. Please find links to two songs below that we would like them to rehearse.

     

Homework Reminders

•             Reading: Please read with your child at least three times a week.

•             Accelerated Reader: Children should choose books within their ZPD range and complete a quiz after finishing each book (in school or at home).

•             Times Tables: TTRS at least three times a week.

•             Mathletics: This week’s task is set and due Friday.

•             Spellings: Choose 10 spellings each week and practise using the strategies shown in their spelling journal.

•             Thematic – please choose a task from the grid below to complete weekly.
