Art Competition
This term's art competition is inspired by the incredible artist Bridget Riley, who is famous for creating amazing Op Art. Her artwork uses lines, shapes, patterns and colour to trick the eye and create movement, illusion and energy.
Your Brief:
Create your own piece of Op Art using any media you like!
You could use:
- Paint
- Pencil
- Felt tips
- Collage
- Digital art
- Mixed media
- Or anything else creative!
Think carefully about:
- Pattern
- Repetition
- Shape
- Line
- Contrast
- Optical illusions
Make your artwork bold, eye-catching and full of movement — just like Bridget Riley’s work! I would advise looking up YouTube tutorials to help you as this is a very tricky style of art to create.
The competition closes by the next Art Assembly. Please write your name and class clearly on the back of your artwork. All entries must be handed to Mr Mason.
