Yesterday we replicated the process of digestion and how food travels through your body.  We had to crush a banana with some digestive biscuits in a food bag and the result was an 'horrific abomination of science' (Elliot).  Lemon juice was added to represent stomach acid and the final pulp was CAREFULLY emptied into a pop sock (clean).  The final stage was to squeeze the liquid out of the sock - the process of the small and large intestine - 'equally unpleasant' (Will D).

Who knew bodily functions could be demonstrated in the classroom?!  Revolting but highly educational!! (blog by Elliot B and Will D 6Y)
