Year 5's focus on beach-themed poetry came to a superb end this morning, as all children took part in group poetry performances in the hall. Each of the learning groups chose a poem written that morning by their peers and (within a very short space of time!), they not only learnt them, but recited the poems with great gusto to their peers. All staff were incredibly impressed by all the children's confidence, poise and delivery. Indeed, the audience was captivated by every performance and all left the hall wearing huge smiles. An enormous well done therefore goes to the whole of Year 5 for both their poetic and performance skills!
