After reading the first two chapters of John Boyne's poignant novel, 'The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas', Year 6 wrote a letter from the point of view of Bruno to the best friend he has been forced to leave behind in Berlin when he has to go and live in a new house, situated on the outskirts of Auschwitz. Above is a letter written by Ethan Pinder (6R), which captures Bruno brilliantly. As well as focusing on characterisation, we have been working on incorporating a range of clauses into our writing - a skill which we will continue to develop throughout the year.
