6Y Dunkirk Recount Home Learning

This week is the 80th anniversary of the WW2 battle of Dunkirk and the miraculous story of the 'little ships' and how they rescued over 300,000 british soldiers from the advancing german army.
The children watched the short film 'Dunkirk movie' and pick a character to write in role as (a soldier or a 'little ships' sailor). They made notes whilst watching and planned their diary entry recount. They used emotive language to retell the events of Dunkirk. I really enjoyed reading these.
