6P English - New term, New Text!

This term we are reading 'Boy' to learn more about Roald Dahl and to help us to write biographies about him. Today we read the story of 'The Great Mouse Plot', where a mischievous young Dahl, helped by his friends, sneaks a dead mouse into the sweet jars of the disgusting and cruel Mrs Pratchett. It was a brave and exciting prank, but one for which they were punished dearly. We freeze-framed key parts of the story.
In this freeze-frame, Dahl and his friends found a dead mouse in their secret hiding place under some floorboards in their school.
In this freeze-frame, the horrible Mrs Pratchett has her back turned to get some sweets, and Dahl sneaks the dead mouse into the gobstopper jar. His friends celebrate his daring while she is not looking.
